The A520 Cheddleton Road is a very busy main road which many children must cross to get to All Saints First School Leek. Former Head Teacher Isabelle Smith asked Charlotte to help with their campaign for a safe crossing. Charlotte pursued the County Council and together with the school succeeded in having the traffic lights and crossing installed.

Parents subsequently expressed concerns about the timing of the lights which did not allow sufficient time for children to cross the road safely. After another meeting at the school with Charlotte, parents, governors and Head Teacher Sharon Kelly, County Council officers were finally persuaded to make the necessary timing adjustments. And a full safety audit has been carried out.
